Once you have completed your treasure hunt and gathered back into your group, you can swap booklets to mark the answers. Following this, you can visit the members area on our website where you can personalise and print your very own huntfun certificates. (There is no actual treasure at the end by the way sorry!) The winning team is the one with the most points!
Once you have placed your order you will receive an email containing your invoice, followed by 3 different links.
One of the links is a pdf team handout document, which you can print out prior to your event and hand out a copy to each team on the day.
Another link is a pdf document for the organiser, this contains lots of useful information on what you need to do to set up your GPS treasure hunt; how to set your end timer, how to change your start/ end location and finally how to send the GPS treasure hunt links to the other teams. (If you want to stop off for a drink or maybe lunch on the way don’t forget to factor this time in!)
The final link opens up in a web browser and this is how you can access your GPS treasure hunt and make the changes mentioned above. Setting up your GPS treasure hunt before your event is fairly straightforward, we include all the instructions that you require and our office is open Monday- Friday 9:00-17:00 for queries and support.
Our GPS treasure hunts can be accessed on smartphones, android, iphones, ipads etc. Basically a mobile phone device that has access to mobile internet (not WI-FI), and with GPS location services enabled.
Whether you have purchased your GPS treasure hunt or you are simply interested in one, we highly recommend that you have a go at our sample GPS hunt (via your mobile phone). This can be found on our GPS treasure hunt web pages. Our sample GPS hunt is designed to make sure that your mobile phone is compatible with our software, it will also give you an idea of what our GPS treasure hunts look like.
Within the GPS web app there are three pages; home, map and scores. On the home page you can find all details and instructions for your hunt, (this is also included on your team hand out sheet). You can also change your team name, enter in your mystery word (letters are found along the hunt), and enter in your stop code when you can completed your GPS hunt, your stop code will freeze your timer and complete the game.
The map page contains a birds-eye view map of your location. It is on here that you can find all of your questions, phototasks and optional pub/ cafe stops. Once your GPS treasure hunt begins, teams navigate their way to the ’huntfun hotspots’ where challenges including clues to answer, tasks and activities can be accessed. Teams will be awarded points for correctly completing the challenges set. Scores are calculated real time and these can be viewed on the scores page, so teams are able to see how they and other teams are doing throughout the hunt.
The aim of the hunt is to gain as many points as possible in the allocated time. Teams will earn bonus points for getting to the finish point, and entering in their stop code early and penalties will be deducted if teams are late!
Strategy and team work are needed to plan the route carefully, to ensure you get as many points as possible. Remember if you access a ’hint’ only half the points available will be awarded!
If you visit the member’s area on our website you can personalise and print your very own huntfun certificates. (There is no actual treasure at the end by the way sorry!)
Most of the route is passable but there are significant diversions necessary to bypass the steps up to and down from the roadway level of Tower Bridge and London Bridge.
Buggies and prams will be fine if there is someone to help lifting up and down any steps but do have a look at the wheelchair notes too!
